Dear Den Leaders,
If you don't yet have a den Chief please try and recruit a Boy Scout to help you out. They can be very useful in getting the kids to relate to topics discussed.
Dear Boy Scouts,
If you want to be a Den Chief, here are the requirements:
- Scouts MUST BE First Class and/ or 12 years old by Sept. 1, 2006
- Know the purpose of Cub Scouting
- Help Cub Scouts achieve the purpose of Cub Scouting
- Be the activity assistant for the den
- Set a good example by attitude and uniforming
- Take part in den meetings
- Assist the den in it's part of the monthly Pack meeting program
- Be a friend to the boys in the den
- Know the importance of monthly planning in the den and Pack
- Meet as needed with the adult members of the den, Pack, and Troop
- Receive training from the den leader and Cubmaster or attend Den Chief Training
- Encourage Cub Scouts to become Webelos Scouts when they are eligible
- Help the denner and assistant denner to become better leaders
